Sturgeon’s has introduced a Secmair Chipsealer to its range of surfacing options available. This is a one pass system which is superior to conventional methods. Sturgeon’s has been carrying out surface dressing for over 75 years and this machine has the very latest technology available for today’s road surfacing. Surface Dressing consists of spraying a film of hot bitumen emulsion binder on to a hard surface followed by the application of one or two layers of aggregate chippings. Surface dressing can be used for roads, footpaths and can also be programmed for patching various areas.
Surface Dressing can be laid directly onto compacted sub-base. Machine or hand laid. If required different coloured aggregates can vary the appearance of the finished surface.
For high stress sites Sturgeons can offer epoxy resin bonded gravel with various aggregate finishes. This surface treatment is extremely tough and will minimise scuff marks and wear from power steering and other stressed areas.
